Terms of Service

Kashi.mov is a web-based lyric video studio for musicians. You upload your own audio, paste your lyrics, sync them by ear using a tap-along editor, pick a visual style, and export a 1080×1920 MP4 you can post directly to TikTok or Instagram Reels. Everything renders in your browser — no files are processed on our servers.

These Terms govern your use of Kashi.mov. By creating an account you agree to them.

To use Kashi.mov you must:

• Be at least 16 years old (the EU minimum age for data processing consent under GDPR).
• Own or hold a licence to all audio, lyrics, and media you upload.
• Not be prohibited from using online services under the laws of your country of residence.

By creating an account you confirm that you meet these requirements. If you are acting on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

You retain full ownership of every audio file, media asset, lyric, and rendered video you create using Kashi.mov. We do not claim any rights to your creative output.

By uploading files you grant Kashi.mov a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and process those files solely to provide the service to you. This licence ends when you delete the files or close your account.

We do not use your content to train AI models, share it with third parties for commercial purposes, or analyse it for any purpose other than delivering the features you use.

You may not use Kashi.mov to:

• Upload audio, lyrics, or media you do not own or have explicit permission to use (including commercially released tracks you did not create or licence).
• Infringe any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right.
• Publish content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, or violates the terms of the social media platform you are posting to.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or decompile the service.
• Resell, sublicence, or otherwise make access to the service available to third parties.
• Use automated tools to create accounts or interact with the service in bulk.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

Kashi.mov is currently in a free public beta. There is no charge to use the service during this period.

• No SLA: The service is provided as-is. We may change, restrict, or suspend features at any time without prior notice. We aim for reliability but make no uptime guarantee during beta.
• Usage limits: To keep the service sustainable during beta we enforce per-account caps on storage, render count, and clip length. Current limits are shown in the app when you approach them.
• Future paid tiers: When the beta ends we intend to introduce paid plans. We will notify you by email at least 30 days before any plan you have access to becomes paid, and you may cancel at any time before that takes effect.
• Refunds: No refunds apply during the beta because no payment is collected.

You may connect your TikTok and Instagram accounts from the Settings page. By doing so you authorise Kashi.mov to publish videos to those accounts on your explicit instruction only — we post nothing without you pressing "Post".

• We request only the minimum scopes required for publishing. We do not read your feed, follower lists, analytics, or any content posted by others.
• We store your OAuth access token to enable publishing. Tokens are deleted immediately when you disconnect the integration.
• Kashi.mov is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok, ByteDance, Meta, or Instagram.
• If a platform changes its API or revokes our developer access, the publishing feature may stop working. We are not liable for such interruptions.

Your uploaded audio files, media assets, and lyric data are stored on your behalf in cloud storage (Supabase, EU region). They remain available until you delete them or close your account.

Rendered MP4 exports are automatically deleted after 30 days unless you explicitly save them to your library. Downloading a file before the 30-day window is your responsibility.

You can delete your account and all associated files at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee any specific uptime. We may perform maintenance, apply updates, or take the service offline for reasons beyond our control. We will attempt to give advance notice of planned downtime where possible.

Kashi.mov is provided as a tool for creating and publishing content. We are not responsible for the outcome of posts made to third-party platforms, including removal of content, account suspensions, or algorithm changes on those platforms.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kashi.mov is not liable for:

• Loss of files or data due to technical failure.
• Failed or rejected social media posts.
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of or inability to use the service.

Our maximum aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the total amount you paid to Kashi.mov in the 30 days preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in this clause limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory EU or German consumer protection law, including liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes that cannot be resolved amicably shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Germany.

If you are a consumer resident in another EU member state, you also retain the benefit of any mandatory protective provisions of the law of your country of residence.

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the new Terms take effect. Your continued use of Kashi.mov after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the updated Terms you may cancel your account before they take effect.
